I chose photography as an a level because I enjoy doing it a lot in my spare time, I generally take a lot of photos when I go out for walks, through the park or sometimes on my way to school in the mornings. Especially when I leave early and I get to see the sunrise. The sky interests me a lot, the colours and patterns of the sky are always unique and there are never two sunsets that look the same. If I know that I’m going to a place where I would want to take photos then I will bring my camera with me but if I don't bring it with me then I normally have my iPad or phone with me and use that instead. At the time, I was not given the opportunity to take photography as a subject at GCSE level; instead, I chose to take art and design. During this course, I incorporated many photography methods into my coursework and in creating my final piece. At the end of these two years, I hope to be more accustomed to using a camera and to not be shy or reluctant when taking photos in public places. I would like to have the confidence to stop whenever and wherever I am and take a picture of whatever I think deserves to be captured. After this course, I would like to go to university and study an art related subject such as architecture or fashion photography.
