Using two tables covered in black cloths, we arranged the objects and the colored fairy lights in the back ground to match what we wanted. We used a soft box to put light onto the object, and a wide aperture and manual focus so that we could focus on just the object creating the bokeh effect in the back ground, and not the lights. I tried to change the positioning of the objects against the back ground to make it seem different, for example in the last photo I held the camera in one had and the glass in the other and tilted it so that I got the fairy lights reflecting in the glass.
