ernst haas - motion photography
A lot of his photos are from the 1950s, with bull fighting, red Indian and cowboy attire and rodeo they give off a south western American vibe although many of the photos were taken in places like the Madison Square Garden in New York and in Spain.

Ernst Haas, a Viennese photographer and ‘the pioneer of colour photography’ born in Vienna in 1949. A lot of his 'motion' work involves long shutter speeds giving the impression of speed and energy, most of the subjects he photographs are related to speed and large amounts of energy, such as horses, swimmers, bull fighting and racing cars. With the picture of the racing cars speeding around the corner of a race track, I think that Ernst was in the right spot to take a photograph as he was high up and could see most of the corner that they were racing round. the more in focus car in front looks almost stationary compared to the car behind which seems to be moving a lot faster and possibly overtaking the car in front.
